We work with dogs that are healing from surgery,
in pain from injuries, or becoming less mobile in old age.
Seeing your dog in pain and not knowing how to help is a terrible feeling...
and can cause you to worry.
You’ve tried medication and rest. It worked initially, but then eventually the limping came back.
You’re nervous to try anything because you don’t know the right way to stop the pain and help heal your dog.
During the evaluation we’ll sit down and get to know you and your dog. We’ll discuss what concerns you have about your dog and what results you’re hoping for. How your dog moves around your home will be observed and a hands-on assessment will be completed.
After gathering the information, the findings will be discussed with you. Every dog and owner are different, so your plan is customized and specific just for you and your dog. Recommendations will be reviewed and any questions you have will be answered.

2. plan
While the plan is customized for your dog, sessions typically include laser treatment, hands-on techniques, and exercises. A home exercise program will be given each session. There are specialized treatment elements that can be added, depending on your dog’s unique needs. These can include cart fitting, bracing and orthotics, and harness fitting.
During our last session together we review a maintenance plan that will continue the progress your dog has made up to this point so that you can keep seeing results from our work. A follow-up session will be scheduled a month later to make sure your dog is continuing to do well and to make adjustments for your home program.

"Brig is able to walk on most flooring without fear and turn around in a tight circle without falling.
His muscle tone is so much better, his topline straight, and his endurance has skyrocketed. Brig is confident and comfortable and I thank Jennifer for guiding, coaching, and assisting us to this point."
"It was so encouraging to see quality of life improvements for Dixie, even at such a senior age.
It was obvious that Jennifer had an amazing connection with dogs- Dixie was at ease from the start.
Jennifer's professional assessment never lacked compassion. Once sessions began, she took time to explain each exercise, and followed up with a home regiment."
"We are thrilled with Odin's progress and feel much more able to avoid injury while getting him the daily exercise he requires as such an athletic dog.
Odin was limping and favoring his front leg. We started PT with Jen and progressed through a series of stretching and strength building exercises, but also learned how to modify Odin’s activities so he could avoid re-injuring himself.
Jen is wonderfully patient and very in tuned to dog behaviors and signs of pain and fatigue. Odin always enjoys working with her and of course the peanut butter treats help!"
"You have made such a difference with Hope's life.
Jennifer you rock! I know it was the right choice having you work with Hope to ensure the best quality of life in my four legged best friend. From the initial evaluation to the various treatment modalities specifically for Hope's needs you were absolutely amazing!
We love our ball playing time!"

"It was so encouraging to see quality of life improvements for Dixie, even at such a senior age.
Dixie was struggling with weakness from an old ACL tear, plus age-related arthritis. Because office visits triggered severe anxiety for Dixie, house calls were already the first indicator that Paw Mobility was going to be a fabulous fit.
It was obvious that Jennifer had an amazing connection with dogs- Dixie was at ease from the start.
After our initial consultation, we discussed expectations and set realistic goals for improved mobility.

X-rays of his elbow seemed fine so he was put on limited leash walks and Deramaxx.
Odin did improve, but when we would go on long hikes or if he played rough the limping returned.

Modalities can enhance your dog’s chance for returning to optimal function. They are an important component in improving pain and can be used throughout the rehab process.
Laser Therapy
Light energy is used to improve pain, decrease swelling, and stimulate tissue repair. It can be used to treat various conditions, including post surgical healing, acute and chronic pain, arthritis, musculoskeletal injuries, and wounds or incisions.
Electrotherapy
Electrical impulses are used to improve pain, help recovery from surgery, and stimulate nerves for neurological injuries that make it difficult for dogs to use their legs, such as IVDD.
Massage Therapy
Massage is beneficial in helping your dog to relax, reduce pain and soreness, and decrease tightness.
Therapeutic exercises are used to help prevent and to rehabilitate injuries. Various activities are completed to improve or maintain strength, flexibility, range of motion, balance, and endurance. Your dog will receive individualized exercises specific to his injury that promote improvement toward functional mobility. These exercises will be taught to you and written out in a Home Exercise Program for you to complete between sessions.
We will help you find the device that is appropriate for your dog, whether it is custom or non-custom made. We will measure, fit, and ensure your dog are comfortable using it.
Harness Fitting
If you are unsure if the harness you have is appropriate for your dog, we can help! We primarily work with Help 'Em Up Harness and can get the appropriate size that fits your dog.
Wheelchair Fitting
Getting a wheelchair for your dog can be overwhelming. We will guide you in finding the best wheelchair, helping to fit it, and teaching you and your dog how use it. We primarily work with Eddie's Wheels and will take appropriate measurements of your dog.
Orthotics & Prosthetics
We can help determine if a brace is appropriate for your dog. We do customized bracing from making a mold to ensuring it fits correctly.
The underwater treadmill uses the elements of water to reduce stress on the joints and improve strength, endurance and stability. It can be used not only for rehabilitating injuries, but also for conditioning and weight loss. Does your dog not like water? That's ok because most dogs who do not like going into water don't mind using the underwater treadmill.
The evaluation is 60mins and
treatment sessions are 45mins.
Rarely are dogs “cured” by one visit. Rehabilitation is a progressive, non-invasive treatment approach that requires multiple visits to ensure your goals for your dog are achieved. Typically, sessions are 1-2x/wk for 6-12wks. Each dog is different and after an evaluation I can give you a better idea of how long it may take.
You may observe fatigue and/or lameness after a session for a few days. This is normal and should subside as your dog improves. You will learn how to manage pain and soreness to help your dog feel better quicker.
Yes! I'll help you with this.
Sessions can be either purchased individually or in packages to decrease the session fee. A customized package will be created for your dog’s specific needs. To better meet your needs to make sure your dog receives the best care please fill out the contact form above.
